Parker Block acquires Concrete Building Systems

Share

DELMAR – Concrete Building Systems, a precast concrete manufacturing company, has been acquired by Millsboro-based Parker Block, a masonry block manufacturer that intends to continue the concrete business.

Located in Delmar, Concrete Building Systems currently serves Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and Virginia. It produces structural precast concrete products which are used in various systems to build parking garages, industrial plants, warehouses, commercial buildings, condominiums, prison facilities, stadiums, auditoriums, and short span bridges.

The sale included a 7,365-square-foot office/warehouse, situated on more than 10 acres, as well as the profitable operating business. Terms of the sale were not disclosed, but the land traded at $622,000 on June 30, according to county land records.

Established in the early 1980s, Concrete Building Systems has consistently performed at the top of its industry with exceptional DUNS and BBB ratings. Carrying the highest certifications in its trade, finding a suitable candidate to take over operations was a high priority for the seller.

SVN | Miller Commercial Real Estate represented the seller while Young American Capital represented Parker Block, a division of Maryland-based Ernest Maier Inc.
