The Great Dames Remarkable Ideas Pitch Competition will offer women and girls the opportunity to pitch ideas for reimagining their communities, including topics related to family, neighborhood, businesses, or even virtual communities. Ten finalists will be selected from among the pitch videos to be submitted by Sept. 10.
Candidates will apply online and submit a three-minute pitch video. The top 10 videos will be presented to all conference participants on Thursday, Sept. 24, the fourth day of the Great Dames Reimagine Your Remarkable Life global virtual conference. A panel of judges will select the 10 finalists, and the winner of a $1,000 cash award be announced on Friday, Sept. 25, the final day of the conference.
“We are experiencing turbulent times right now, and we are empowering women to develop ideas that can lead to positive change not just for us, but for future generations,” Great Dames CEO and President Sharon Kelly Hake said in a statement. “Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have gone virtual, embracing women nationally and globally to be part of our community. The discussions that have brought together diverse women worldwide have been riveting, so we expect many of these Dames to vie for the $1,000 prize.”
