WILMINGTON – Delaware Governor-elect Matt Meyer announced the schedule of events to mark his inauguration and the formal transition of power in the state government on Tuesday, January 21, at 9:30 am.
“Delaware stands at a crossroads. Together, we will ensure that our state thrives. From education to healthcare, housing to the environment, we will make decisions and pass policies that benefit the many, not just the few,” Governor-elect Matt Meyer said in a statement. “This inauguration marks the beginning of a new chapter, and I’m proud to work alongside all Delawareans to build a brighter future.”
Governor-elect Meyer invites all Delawareans to join him as he takes the oath of office and celebrates the state’s new era. The inauguration celebration will include various events designed to engage communities across the state. Highlights include an official swearing-in ceremony, a community-focused reception, multiple days of service (details to follow soon), and an inaugural ball.
