The Police Athletic League of Wilmington provides youth a safe haven after school to channel their energies in positive directions to promote self-esteem, good life choices, and healthy lifestyles. Their center has a full-time police officer and dedicated staff who work to enhance the positive moral development of young people through a large variety of sports, education, and recreational programs.
“We would like to thank GOLO for their support and generous donation,” Christopher Purnell, Executive Director of the Police Athletic League of Wilmington, said. “This donation will allow us to continue our efforts in our health and wellness and summer camp programs for youth and families. We strive to build brighter futures, and with this donation, we can continue doing just that for our community.”

In addition to providing a place to stay, the House offers nurturing and supportive environments where families can be together and find comfort.
“On behalf of our Board of Directors, our staff and volunteers, and most importantly, the families we serve, we thank GOLO for their generous donation and continued support of our mission,” Pamela W. Cornforth, President and CEO, Ronald McDonald House, Delaware, said. “At the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, we believe that nothing is more important than family and providing them comfort, care, and togetherness during their child’s medical crisis. By providing a “home-away-from-home” to families who travel far distances to receive medical treatments in Wilmington, we allow our families to experience all of the comforts of home, including accommodations, nutritious meals, and a supportive community. Our families are then able to focus on what matters most – the well-being of their child.”
Special Olympics Delaware
The mission of Special Olympics Delaware is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for more than 4,200 children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
“GOLO has been a strong supporter of our Summer Games and sponsor of our Healthy Athlete station for many years,” David Halley, President and CEO, Special Olympics of Delaware, said. “Their support will allow free health education, activities, and screenings for over 500 athletes attending our Summer Games. We could not offer these free programs without their involvement and support. It truly is life-changing!”

Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) exists solely to “serve those who served” this great nation, our Veterans. The organization is dedicated to advancing the cause of Veterans, advocating on all levels, giving voice to their concerns, bringing equity and quality to their earned benefits, and a just resolve to their needs.
