WILMINGTON – Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction (COD) for its commitment to help undergraduate students learn, grow and succeed.
GBC has been named in three categories:
- 2022-2023 College of Distinction
- 2022-2023 College of Distinction, Delaware
- 2022-2023 College of Distinction, Business
“This is a terrific achievement for Goldey-Beacom and due in no small part to the many student-centered initiatives we have been pursuing in our strategic plan,” Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, president of GBC, said. “As one of the benefits to the College’s inclusion component, this distinction will amplify our message to students, parents and guidance counselors.”
GBC underwent an exhaustive COD review that encompassed four overarching distinctions which are the fundamental elements of an effective undergraduate education: Student Engagement, Teaching, Community and Outcomes.
“COD completes a thorough review of the programs in question before giving the awards,” Tyson Schritter, chief operating officer for Colleges of Distinction, said in a statement “We’re looking for such qualities as accreditation, breadth of program, advising and mentoring, integration of career services and successful outcomes for students. It’s wonderful to see how Goldey-Beacom exemplifies these qualities within the field.”
“Globalization and the intricacies of modern business operations require effective communication and apt problem-solving strategies, Schritter said. GBC’s programs keep their future leaders adaptable as they grow alongside their industry.”
Well done and deserved from the old school “Home of the Braves”.
