ChristianaCare rated top hospital in Del. by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report has rated ChristianaCare as a High Performing hospital for 11 conditions and two procedures in its 2023–2024 Best Hospitals list. ChristianaCare has also been named the No. 4 hospital in the Philadelphia region.
“At ChristianaCare, we are committed to seeking new knowledge and asking for feedback, and we welcome ratings that help inform us on how to improve our performance,” Kert Anzilotti, M.D., MBA, chief medical officer at ChristianaCare, said in a statement.
ChristianaCare was ranked as high performing in the following conditions:
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
- Diabetes.
- Heart attack.
- Heart bypass surgery.
- Heart failure.
- Hip replacement.
- Knee replacement.
- Leukemia, lymphoma & myeloma.
- Lung cancer surgery.
- Prostate cancer surgery.
- Stroke.
ChristianaCare was ranked as high performing in the following procedures:
- Orthopaedics,
- Urology.
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
“For 34 years, U.S. News has provided data-informed rankings to help patients and their doctors find the best hospital to treat their illness or condition,” Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News, said.
“Fewer than half of evaluated hospitals earned any High Performing rating. Hospitals that are High Performing have excelled in providing high quality care in specific procedures and/or conditions.”
