Everyone has seen ads or heard claims about shopping for a car at 3a.m. in one’s pajamas.
What this actually means is a visit to the dealership website to browse for cars. The catch is: If you find one, you have to visit the dealership to see it, engage in the transaction, and take delivery in the traditional manner.
Now, the Carman Auto Group has announced a new online shopping program, where the customer never has to leave home or office.
Applicable to Carman’s Ford and Lincoln dealerships, it’s called Carman Express, according to Joe Giacchino, sales manager and a member of this family-owned business.
With Carman Express, Giacchino said the consumer can accomplish the entire process on line at carmanautogroup.com. The consumer is in complete control with this simple 3-step process, Giacchino said in a statement. They select the best vehicle for them. Then they fully customize their own deal- finance or lease terms can be selected, also the cash price.
Trade-in estimate can be obtained, using Accutrade, backed by Truecar. The consumer can ascertain applicable taxes and fees. Prevailing Lincoln rebates and incentives can be determined and applied.
Giacchino described all this as Step 1 in the process.
Step 2 within Carman Express, Giacchino continued, is for the customer to complete a secure, online credit application. Giacchino added that the customer will receive an instant lender decision.
Step 3, he said, is to select from a variety of vehicle protection plans. The investment in the plan can be integrated into the monthly payments.
Giacchino said the final step is for Carman to deliver the vehicle directly to the customer’s office or home.
He proclaimed Carman Express as a touchless experience, accomplished with a mobile device, cell, or computer.
