Camden Walmart McDonald’s to close March 31

DOVER – Local McDonald’s owner and operator Michael Meoli announced today, March 18, the upcoming closure of the McDonald’s restaurant located inside Walmart at 263 Walmart Drive in Camden, Delaware effective March 31, 2021.

All crewmembers and management at the Camden McDonald’s have been notified of the closure and have been offered positions at another McDonald’s restaurant within The Meoli Companies organization. Employee schedules, compensation and benefits will be honored at their new restaurant location.

The Meoli Companies now operates 25 McDonald’s restaurants across the Delmarva Peninsula. The McDonalds Corporation intends to open a new, modernized, free-standing McDonald’s restaurant in Camden, DE later this year. Details on the proposed site location and build to be released in the coming months.
