Bank of America grants $25K to Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore

NEW CASTLE – Bank of America awarded a $25,000 grant to Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore, a regional non-profit organization with a 75-year history of fostering inclusive communities via creative services. The funding will assist Easterseals in enhancing the economic mobility and independence of seniors and their families, as well as persons with disabilities of all ages.
“Easterseals programs and services are an essential part of our community and thanks to grants from companies like Bank of America, we can continue to provide exceptional services to the people we serve to enable them to live independently,” Easterseals President/CEO, Kenan Sklenar, said. “We appreciate Bank of America’s generous award and continued support of our community.”
The grant is part of Bank of America’s philanthropic giving efforts in local communities. Awardees are selected for their commitment to addressing basic needs for people with disabilities. Easterseals mission is to provide services that promote opportunities for full inclusion in our community. Many of the people who participate in the Easterseals Supported Employment program continued their important work throughout the pandemic. After a brief shutdown, Easterseals reopened their day programs, which offer critical services to adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, as well as to seniors.
