Whisman Giordano & Associates, LLC

When you deal almost exclusively in numbers, it only makes sense to go completely electronic. Since doing so, Whisman Giordano & Associates (WGA) has adopted the technology that has made it a completely paperless accounting firm. But helping other businesses doesn’t mean there’s no room left for personality.

“We have adopted a very family friendly environment, where we support each other, care about each other, and lift each other up,” Director Joseph V. Giordano said. “I think the community can vouch for this, and it’s critical to our client service.”

One way the WGA staff helped lift each other up came when Joseph’s wife, Amy, died unexpectedly in 2015 at age 32. Soon after, the Amy L. Giordano Fund at the Boys & Girls Club was established, which celebrates her passion for helping people, in particular children. The fund has raised nearly $25,000 in scholarships for low-income youth.

Additionally, WGA provides nonprofit clients with reduced fees through in-kind contributions, which equate to 10 to 15 percent in discounts. Giordano says that WGA’s focus is always on the relationships it builds with team members and the community, which filters back to the clients, hence their tagline: building extraordinary relationships.
