Looking back, what’s the biggest mistake you made and what would you do differently if you could? At a certain point, we decided that our culture was too different and tried to create a more “business” culture in our company. This backfired and was not true to our company values. Instead of trying to change who we ARE, we’ve worked hard to be the very best DryZone that we can be and not try to change who we are.

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned over the past three years? Doing the right thing is never wrong. It may have been costly in the moment, but doing the right thing for our homeowners not only rings true to our company values, but also serves us well with community reputation.

How do you keep your team inspired and focused on the future? Quarterly rally speeches which bring the entire team together to focus on where we are going and the positive moves we are making to get there, monthly company challenges which range from health based to kindness challenges, along with monthly breakfasts and quarterly events and trips keep the team inspired. We also actively celebrate our achievements daily through company message boards and in office displays.
