Bellefonte Brewing Co. is a fast growing microbrewery that has a tap room that offers 16 different types of beer, along with cans, kegs and growlers for sale. We do tours and tastings, along with public and private events all over the state.

What have been the biggest factors that contributed to your company’s growth over the past three years?
Beer is a very popular product! We have a great team that is constantly striving for growth and improving the quality of our recipes.

What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced over the past three years, and how did you overcome them?
Our biggest obstacle has been to keep everything within a tight budget. We have been successful with no outside financing and carry no debt. Without leverage, we have still been able to grow at a very fast rate — we just have to be smart about it!

Looking back, what’s the biggest mistake you made and what would you do differently if you could? Not starting off at larger scale. What we have been able to do now is plan for a second location that is several times the size of our current building!

What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned over the past three years?
Never underestimate your team. People who have a vested interest in the company’s success are always willing to go above and beyond.
