Budget Rooter

Whether the economy is bullish or bearish, everyone is always looking to save a buck. From the final years of Reaganomics through the Great Recession of 2007-2009 to the Trump Administration, Budget Rooter has valued the idea of saving its customers money. The plumbing company’s humble beginnings laid the foundation.
“This business was started by one spunky lady armed with a telephone book, her son and one plumbing truck,” Business Manager Jen Conway said of the company’s founders. “All of the accounting was done on green bar sheets, and the service records were kept in a file cabinet.”
Fast-forward and Budget Rooter has done its part to keep up with the times. The New Castle-based business was one of the first plumbing companies in the area to offer trenchless line replacement, allowing for the repair of a defective sewer line without trenching the entire front yard of a property. It later moved to ProPress, an alternative to sweating copper pipes.
Every year, Budget Rooter provides support to Warriors Helping Warriors at The Brian Conley Resiliency Center (a nonprofit organization that aids veterans with problems reintegrating into society when returning from service) as well as ARC of Delaware, Autism Speaks, The Food Bank of Delaware and the American Cancer Society.
