2017 Family-Owned Business Awards Honorees

Rob Martinelli, publisher of Delaware Business Times

How do you recognize the value of a family-owned business? How do you measure the dedication and self-sacrifice required to move a business forward across a landscape of startups, box stores and new technology?

For Delaware Business Times, the answer is multifaceted: We support our family-owned businesses through events (workshops organized in partnership with the University of Delaware Small Business Development Center) and in-depth journalism (stories throughout the year on the past, present and future of family businesses).

We also take time to celebrate multi-generational companies with the Family-Owned Business Awards. These annual awards highlight a diverse line-up of family-owned businesses from across the state, including everything from auto shops and building suppliers to restaurants and sporting goods stores.
