William “Bill” Larson has built a legal career by developing strong relationships in his native Delaware and has balanced his time between public and private service.

After earning his law degree from Washington & Lee University, he returned home to clerk for the state Superior Court and later litigated at national firm MG+M in Wilmington.

In 2017, he returned to public service as senior assistant city solicitor for Wilmington and special deputy attorney general, where he litigated and managed cases, prosecuted criminal matters, drafted legislation, negotiated settlements and property transactions including the Baynard Stadium public-private partnership, and advised city officials.

He returned to MG+M in 2019 and was named a partner in 2022. Today, he focuses on pre-suit negotiations and litigation handling construction, real estate, business, contract and estate matters. Earlier this year, Larson was part of a team that secured a rare unanimous jury verdict on behalf of their client in a Delaware asbestos case.

Larson is also a member of MG+M’s Pro Bono Committee, where he assists clients free of charge, including Wilmington’s nonprofit golf course, Rock Manor. He serves on boards for Archmere Academy, the St. Thomas More Society and the DuPont Country Club.

Additionally, the longtime tennis player is the chair of the U.S. Tennis Association’s Delaware District Counsel, where he seeks to grow the sport, especially with youth in Wilmington and young adults across the state.

When he’s not in the courtroom, Larson enjoys working on his century-old Wilmington home with his wife and daughter.
