With a proven track record of driving growth and innovation, Savannah Scalyer is a dynamic leader with a passion for empowering teams and communities. As chief of staff at Best Egg, she plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction through representing the perspective from every level of the rising fintech company.

As a first-generation college graduate, Scalyer’s journey included roles as talent recruiter, talent acquisition leader and people strategy leader. In those roles, she aided Best Egg’s growth, helping the startup increase its new employees by 300% within four years. She also strives to improve the workplace culture through diversity and equity initiatives by serving on the company’s first DE&I leadership team. Scalyer continued that philosophy of inclusion while hiring for the company.

Scalyer, a single mother, also volunteers as an adult literacy coach for the Center for Literacy as well as a career coach with various organizations, including ZipCode Wilmington and Junior Achievement and donates annually to the Food Bank of Delaware and Mom’s House Delaware. Over the years, she has donated hundreds of hours of career coaching help via resume review, interview practice and keynotes to the junior, developing workforce. She considers it a passion to help empower those who were not given the tools to advance their careers, and has spent hours on helping others strengthen their resumes and practice their interview skills.

Scalyer studied abroad in Rome, Italy during her time at Temple University which she says sparked a love of travel and exploration. In her free time, she now loves spending time outdoors exploring the Delaware beaches and hiking the Brandywine Creek.
