Sarah Mailloux knows what it means to work in a small business.
From early days working behind a cashier to managing accounts at CSC, that experience helped guide her in many roles with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). Over the past four years, she started as operations manager of the Delaware SBDC and later left to serve as the Pennsylvania SBDC as program manager. While in the Keystone State, Mailloux managed more than 200 webinars for small businesses in digital marketing, ecommerce and more. She was recognized with the SBDC “Game Changer Award” for her efforts.
Returning to Delaware in 2022 as the associate state SBDC director at the Delaware SBDC, Mailloux oversees a staff of 15 staff across the state along with a network of consultants, and a $2 million budget. With her team, she’s helped serve 600 clients per year which has brought more than $20 million in capital formation in Delaware alone.
Mailloux also works as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business, teaching a business basics course. She also serves as an academic coach for UD graduate students. A passionate Blue Hen, she met her husband while performing with the marching band. She also studied Mandarin for three years as an undergrad student.
