As the director of Delaware’s go-to source for social initiatives and programs provided by Delaware211, Jennifer Frome embraces the need to prioritize collaborations as well as data analysis to ensure the people calling the state’s largest toll-free helpline are getting the help they need every single day. Fromme became director of the nonprofit, which is powered by United Way of Delaware, in November 2023 and is responsible for all of Delaware 211’s initiatives from strategic planning and financial oversight to executing contracts and directing staff. Fromme also ensures compliance with national performance standards, and analyzes program and call center data to continually search for new ways to improve the service’s social impact.

Her career with Delaware211 began in fall 2008 when she joined the team as a community resource specialist. Fromm is a University of Delaware graduate who also served as a senior child development specialist and as a staff manager with Delaware 211 before taking over as a director. Her dedication to the organization’s mission has been pivotal in the growth of the service while also strengthening community partnerships.

She embodies the spirit of community service and leadership not only in her role at Delaware211, but also by donating to and volunteering with homeless shelters serving meals, packing food boxes and sorting items. She also involves her sons in community service activities as well in an effort to teach them the importance of helping others.

Outside of work and volunteering, Fromme is an avid crafter and a passionate fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and all things Disney which has led her to visit Walt Disney World numerous times. Recently, she and her family have discovered a new passion for cruising, adding to their adventures and creating cherished memories.
