From sales to logistics to daily operations, Dominic Drummond aims to weave integrity into all of his endeavors at his company, Quality Care Homes. For him, work-life balance isn’t critical just at the top.
Drummond aims to lead by example, encouraging his employees and others in his life to take the time with those who matter most. His personal experience dealing with the mental, emotional and spiritual challenges of a child diagnosed with a type of spinal cancer helped him realize that work isn’t everything in life. In his 20s, he focused on family first. By his 30s, he was able to grow his construction business from $250,000 in sales to more than $2.5 million in six years.
Quality Care Homes has also physically grown with the recent addition of a 7,800-square-foot commercial warehouse complex, while also earning awards sponsored by the Builders and Remodelers Association of Delaware for best renovation in 2020 and 2022 and a national silver award for sales. Another 5,200-square-foot building is also in the works.
Throughout all that growth, Drummond is also focused on giving back by helping organize charitable events, including a Halloween fundraiser that donated $5,400 to the Nemours Children’s Hospital.
The father of four boys has raised money for multiple other organizations in the state, such as local food banks. He also helps guide people through addiction recovery thanks to the wisdom he’s gained in 13 years of sobriety.
