Dmitri Yearby is no stranger to having the odds stacked against him. His mother raised him and his five siblings, even as the family battled homelessness for six years. He struggled with the knowledge he couldn’t do much to get his family out of the situation – so he threw himself into helping others.
That instilled a sense of community service in Yearby that continues to guide his path today, even as he monitors daily transactions like daily Federal Reserve reconciliation totaling over $500 billion in his role at JP Morgan Chase & Co.

As a first-generation college graduate from Lincoln University, Yearby is deeply committed to sharing his knowledge with other students at historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). He leads motivational talks at his alma mater and Delaware State University and has mentored students through the HBCU Transforming Leaders Program Fellowship.

At JP Morgan Chase & Co., Yearby also serves as the lead for Diversity & Recruitment Pillar of the Analyst & Associate Council. He not only recruits African Americans for finance positions, he also offers resume and application assistance as needed. Yearby also launched Juneteenth Week at the firm, which included a HBCU pep rally, a fashion show, a pop-up shop and a Black-owned food truck event which earned more than $1,000 for small businesses.

In 2020, he co-founded the men’s conference program Destination Success and homeless outreach initiative Project Bless, the latter facilitating two toy, clothes and toiletries donation drives, as well as raising more than $1,000.

Outside of work, Yearby has been on a religious journey since June 2019. He is also a Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bulls fan, as well as trilingual (speaking Arabic and Latin).
