Title: Vice President of Community Relations and College Advancement
Workplace: Cecil College
Age: 40
Despite being a Delaware resident for less than five years, Cecil College’s Brandon Brice has already made his mark — and not just in the academic community.
Brice, a Detroit native now living in Wilmington, balances a plethora of responsibilities as the college’s vice president of community relations and college advancement while also staying actively involved in politics and as a community leader at the state and local levels.Â
In addition to offering invaluable guidance and insight to the college’s leadership, monitoring impactful legislation, managing fundraising campaigns and collaborating with marketing and communications professionals through his day job, Brice also serves on local, state and national boards, commissions and teams on everything from ethics to artificial intelligence.
Brice is the founder of a nonprofit aimed at countering youth and gang violence and a 2023 Leadership Delaware program fellow who is active in more than a dozen organizations, including the Prince Hall Masonic Grand Lodge of Delaware, the 100 Black Men of Greater Delaware Chapter. He volunteers his time to help young Black men in Wilmington through groups like the Young Men United Program and the Monday Club’s juvenile detention program while also serving as the elected state party secretary for the Delaware Republican Party, New Castle County’s ethics commissioner and on several other boards.
Outside of work, Brice enjoys reading, hunting, the opera and the former Boy Scout also loves the outdoors and riding horses, which he often does while visiting family in Michigan. He can also be heard hosting “The Brice is Right” podcast on iHeart Radio.
