Overseeing the daily operations of a concrete plant as an operator foreman means busy days for Bear resident Tanner Bradigan. Bradigan began working for GFP Mobile Mix Supply LLC, a Wilmington-based concrete delivery service, as a vocational intern when he was just 16 years old. Two years later, he was promoted to warehouse manager. Since then, Bradigan has shown his innate versatile abilities to learn new skills, including specialized knowledge needed to operate complex, modern concrete trucks that has led him to become the go-to person for training others on the equipment.
In his current role, Bradigan helps coordinate delivery schedules, oversees safety, manages product inventory and continues training teammates as he manages his team. He also manages a team of eight truck operators responsible for deliveries and customer service. He has not only mastered the balancing act of coordinating complicated delivery schedules, customer demands and employee needs, but also has mastered operating all of the key equipment in GFP’s shop, from the crane to the grater. He has also worked to revitalize a poor work environment, foster a positive atmosphere and successfully navigated unionization efforts, preserving harmony and productivity within the company.
He frequently attends company-based events that support and raise money for childhood cancer, autism and local fire and emergency management groups. The Delcastle Technical High School alumnus was also able to purchase his first home at just 20 years old where he now resides happily with his girlfriend Kayla and their dog Axe. Bradigan also holds certifications from OSHA as well as his CDL license.
