Growing up around her family’s insurance business, Kristina Schroeder was always drawn to helping small businesses and people in the community. That led her to a career in banking.

Being the only young woman on every team she’s worked on, Schroeder has had to work harder to gain the respect and trust of her clients. She accomplished this by earning a Master’s in Finance degree and sharpening her credit skills to be the best advocate for her clients.

Starting out working in the bank branches, she earned promotions that vaulted her to a senior vice president role overseeing middle-market business clients with revenues between $10 million and $500 million by her early 30s.

Over the years, Schroeder has specialized in using outside-of-the-box methods to find clients who have potential to grow and tackling challenging applicants to work with them to find solutions. Her work in financing clients’ first buildings, new expansions, mergers and acquisitions, product launches and more have led many companies to be long-term clients of Schroeder and earned her industry recognition and accolades.

She has made significant philanthropic contributions to the community, particularly in supporting women in business. Throughout her career, Schroeder has actively engaged in women in business programs, providing lending support and assisting with business plans. She also is involved with Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership (DEMEP), which supports the state’s manufacturing sector.
