Title: Senior Customer Success Manager
Workplace: Greenwing Technology
Age: 36
When it comes to giving other small Delaware businesses a boost, Greenwing Technology’s Curtis Harris Jr. wants to ensure they have the technological capacity they need.
As the local tech startup’s senior customer success manager, Harris makes it his mission to help small businesses improve their technological capabilities through the creation of an educational module, giving those less tech-savvy businesses the tools needed to compete for bigger contracts.
A humanitarian by nature, Harris is also a minority Ivy League graduate who left a pathway toward becoming a corporate executive for a flexible career that allows him to pursue his passion for community service projects in addition to helping small businesses through his day job.
Harris is an active board member for two local nonprofits, Next Generation and Resolution Steel Orchestra Inc., where he is involved with planning initiatives for minority youth in Wilmington. He also volunteers as a tutor and mentor for two teens through Urban Promise Wilmington and volunteers his time multiple days a week with the Sunday Breakfast Mission and Delaware Hospice. He has also taken his volunteerism abroad and last year worked with an organization called Ladles of Love, feeding the homeless in Cape Town, South Africa.
In addition to his volunteerism, he also has a passion for farm-to-table creations, and enjoys repurposing donations of fruits and veggies from the Sunday Breakfast Mission into pickles and vinegar that he then uses as a base for hot sauce and BBQ sauce, which he gives back to overnight guests at the shelter.
