Christian Bale may share the same name as the Hollywood actor who once played the Dark Knight, but his approach to justice stays strictly in litigation.
The associate attorney is one of the only Delawareans who completed judicial clerkships with Delaware’s federal district and appellate courts and now represents clients in civil and criminal matters at the state and federal levels through his work at MoloLamken LLP based out of Washington, D.C. He joined the firm in January 2024, following his clerkships and a judicial assignment in the United Kingdom as a 2023 Temple Bar Scholar with the American Inns of Court, one of the most prestigious scholarships in the legal field.
He grew up in Wilmington and attended Salesianum High School before earning a full ride to Duke University School of Law, where he was editor-in-chief of the law review. Before law school, he also worked at the White House Office of Management and Budget. He received his undergraduate and master’s degrees from the College of William & Mary.
Bale recently received the Keith Hawkins Scholarship in English and American Legal History to benefit his pursuit of a doctoral degree in legal history at the University of Oxford. He is admitted to the bar and able to practice law in Delaware, Washington, D.C., and the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, Ninth and federal circuits and is fluent in French.
In his free time, Bale volunteers with the Wilmington Rotary Club, his high school’s alumni board and William & Mary’s Public Policy Board of Advisors. He enjoys spending time with his pit bull Dover and his wife who is a New York Times bestselling author. Bale is the oldest of six children, all of whom were raised in Delaware.
