Title: Vice President of Operations
Workplace: TKo Hospitality
Age: 34
Since Andrew “Drew” DiFonzo took over as TKo Hopsitality’s vice president of operations in early 2022, the business has seen explosive growth in both employees and properties. DiFonzo’s guidance on everything from company culture and retention to sales and marketing has contributed to that success.
TKo Hospitality manages hotels for major American brands including Hyatt, Hilton and Marriott. Recent years have seen the company grow to 1,000 team members and a portfolio of award-winning hotels, restaurants, event centers and banquet spaces and golf courses that generate over $100 million annually. His efforts have helped the management company earn numerous corporate awards for development and performance.
In his current role, DiFonzo has also focused on improving the day-to-day experiences of employees, something that can be seen in efforts like a 2023 partnership with Beebe Hospital that launched a health, mental and financial well-being program for employees known internally as Wellbeing Wednesdays. The Rehoboth Beach resident and University of Delaware graduate previously worked in management for the Hyatt Dewey Beach and multiple roles at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
He also has a dedication to community that can be seen in his involvement with a variety of nonprofits including SL24 Unlocke the Light, the American Heart Association and Sam’s KIDS Fund. In recent years he has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for those organizations. He is also actively involved with the Milford High School Education Advisory Committee and has partnered with the DAR Educational Forum. In his free time, DiFonzo loves traveling the world with his wife, supporting Pittsburgh sports teams. Recently, the Cleveland native took up golfing and moved to the Delaware beaches where he has embraced the coastal living lifestyle.
