Dr. Lynn Morrison has spent almost her entire 30-year career at Brandywine Counseling and Community Services, a nonprofit that provides recovery resources to families and people touched by mental health, substance abuse, HIV and other issues. Brandywine Counseling now serves more than 4,700 clients monthly in monthly treatment. Under her leadership, the nonprofit has grown its budget by expanding its footprint to reach hard-to-reach people through programs like mobile treatment units and services for the homeless. Under Morrison’s leadership, Brandywine Counseling has been ahead of several substance use disorder-related initiatives, like naloxone training and distribution as well as fentanyl and xylazine test strips.
