Longtime corporate litigator Lisa Schmidt was named president of Richards, Layton & Finger, the largest law firm in Delaware with more than 160 attorneys, in 2022. As only the second woman to lead the storied firm, Schmidt is continuing to push diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at the firm that is often a bellwether for the Wilmington legal industry. Joining the firm more than 30 years ago, Schmidt has grown an acclaimed personal practice before the Court of Chancery and other venues involving major companies like Walt Disney, General Motors, AbbVie, CVS, Nokia, ConAgra, and Expedia, among others.
