Q&A: What’s something interesting about you that isn’t on your resume? “I’m a major Star Trek fan.”
Dr. David Tam is a veteran of health care executive leadership, with roles at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, Calif., the United States’ military health insurance program TriCare and more. But when he was named incoming CEO and President of Beebe Healthcare just weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic swept the nation, he moved up his start time to help lead the Lewes community’s response to the disease. Tam had worked with Beebe’s board of directors to restructure the organization. During his tenure, Beebe Healthcare has opened new facilities and worked on strategies to serve all of Sussex County’s residences, no matter their home.
