Q&A: Favorite thing about Delaware? “The beach.”
As president and CEO of the Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce, Carol Everhart manages the largest chamber in Delaware with more than 1,300 members and serves as a major marketing arm for the state’s busiest beach resort area. She first came to the chamber more than 30 years ago after time in the recreation, paralegal and creative consulting fields, and rose to become the chamber’s leader in 2001. Everhart frequently consults with state legislative leaders about the impact of proposed legislation on her businesses. The chamber has also become an invaluable resource in tracking trends in the region’s tourism industry, reporting data on its hotel bookings and managing a visitors center and information kiosk.
